These are unprecedented times and COVID-19 has impacted many of us. As a team, we are facing race cancellations, pool closures, social distancing measures, and a looming threat to our community’s health. Our local businesses are looking at restrictions that prevent many of them from operating as usual.
We at TTPDX want to help our wonderful business partners who support us throughout the year!
We’ve put together this Partner Buying Guide to give our membership some direction on how we can best support our partner businesses during this time! If you are able to support, please do! That can mean giving them a shout out on social media, buying a gift card for a service you might need at a later date, or purchasing something as a gift for a friend in need! Read on for some ideas!

CBCG has created The Endurance School, a virtual endurance community with weekly classes you can participate in online! They offer a full weekly schedule of spin classes, swim-specific strength, presentations, and more. Check out their full class descriptions, schedule, and instructions on how to begin! You can support them financially by subscribing to their channel at various subscription options ($4.99, $9.99, and $24.99 per month).
You can also cheer them on with “bits” on Twitch. You buy the bits from Amazon (you can do it right in a Twitch chat) and then either click on the little gem icon and choose an amount (one bit=one penny) or write an amount as cheer1000 (which would donate $10).

Here are some things that you can do to support yourself, your favorite running store, and your community.
• Keep buying and (soon) wearing the RUN ON! and WALK ON! shirts (see their website for more info)
• Email them or MESSAGE THEM on FB and order your shoes!
• VIRTUAL GAIT ANALYSIS! Sure, coming into the store is the best way to do this, but they have built a really easy tutorial on how to take a video of your foot-strike and send it to them virtually to provide expertise.

A message from Skratch: “First, we want you to get out or get on your trainer or treadmill and ride or run, respecting local outdoor activity ordinances of course.
Second, we want to ask you to support your favorite local bike, run, outdoor shop. Many shops have set-up so you can get whatever you need from your local shop delivered directly to your home. Just call your preferred shop to place your order for home shipment, or curbside pickup.
All stocked up? Drop them a good review, encourage someone else to shop local, or grab a gift card for future needs.”
